I use a variety of tools depending on what fits best for the individual. The list below is a sampling of ways I may help you. However, the steps are ultimately up to you. Often it is a combination of the ways listed below that are most effective.
Creative Therapy – expressive therapy where you use art and the creative process to explore and uncover your feelings.
Body Psychotherapy – integrates your physical body into the therapy process. It is also referred to as somatic psychotherapy and is a process that recognizes the intimate relationship between the human body and an individual’s psychological well-being using your body as a resource for self-discovery and healing.
Chakra Work – working with seven chakras (of the hundreds of chakras in your body) that include the crown, third eye, throat, heart, solar plexus, sexual and root chakras with the goal of helping move blocked energy and bringing the body to a restored and balanced energetic state.
Meditation – a way of transforming your mind and includes techniques that encourage and develop clarity, concentration and positivity. By practicing meditation, you learn the patterns and habits of your mind and cultivate new, more positive ways of being.
Mindfulness – maintaining a present awareness of your thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations and surrounding environment. It also involves acceptance without judgment. It may reduce stress and benefit overall health.
Reiki – works with the universal, divine or God energy and brings it to your body energy which activates the natural healing process of your body.
Spiritual Direction – a practice to help you deepen your relationship with the divine. It may bring about teaching and growth into your own personal spiritual journey.
Talk Therapy – the most popular types are cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) and interpersonal therapy. CBT looks at how negative thought patterns affect mood – teaching you how to make positive changes in your thoughts and behaviours. Interpersonal therapy looks at how you relate to others and helps you make positive changes in your personal relationships.
Visualization – the use of the imagination through pictures or mental imagery to create visions of what you want in your life and how to make them happen. It can be very helpful in bringing about self-improvement, maintaining good health and accomplishing your life goals.
